	Over the past 40 years, IBS has grown to be an international market leader in the paper machine industry. The most modern paper machinery running today has IBS components. Especially those that have already achieved world record results. IBS products are used on both high-tech and conventional machines with a variety of different production programs. These machines have shown improved productivity, quality and reliability, as well as easy maintenance.
	The company started with the planning, development, production and installation of modern dewatering technology for paper machines. IBS has produced an outstanding performance record for ceramic elements, dewatering boxes and vacuum control systems. In the course of the development, the group has expanded its range of services as well as its presence in the most important world markets. Today, the company's products include ceramic covers, dewatering boxes, the renowned EVA vacuum control system, offered by IBS; wire, felt guides and tensioning systems, marketed under the brand name JUD; paper tape turn-up systems offered by IBS and JUD respectively; doctors, showers and oscillators offered under the brand name JAMES ROSS. A wide range of services including research, commissioning and maintenance completes the range of products and services. Today the group has become a worldwide organization. IBS of America was founded in 1978. Shortly afterwards, the well known manufacturer of wire, felt guides and tensioners, JUD AG, of Liechtenstein, was acquired. Then the group expanded to include the machine shop Berger, in Knittelfeld / Austria. James Ross Ltd, Canada, a traditional manufacturer of doctors, showers and oscillators, was also acquired. Additional operations were formed in Virginia, USA, Singapore, and Japan, to intensively market our brands in North and Central America and in Asia. IBS Service Centers were founded with headquarters in Indonesia and Finland. Here, machines controlled by the most modern CNC system perform the regrinding of ceramics. In the year 2005 the new service and production center IBS China has been opened. Apart from the group of companies and service centers, a global network of representatives and agents are available to our customers. Today, 420 employees of the Paper Performance Group, generate more than 55 million Euros annually. The group's ambition is to pursue further growth. The global extensions of IBS service networks are being extended. For example, the development of a service center in Brazil has been planned for 2006. The development of the brand JAMES ROSS (offering doctors, showers and oscillators) outside North America is also a part of the growth strategy. For this reason JAMES ROSS divisions at European headquarters have been developed to cover the European, Asia - Pacific and South American markets. The business activities and natural synergies of these groups have led to the development of a new identity. These companies will now operate under the umbrella of "IBS PAPER PERFORMANCE GROUP". This family of companies, supported by a new corporate logo, can build on its already high reputation. The registered trademark stands for an outstanding performance in the paper machine arena. To execute the ambitious goals of the group, IBS Holding GmbH. with its headquarters in Austria, has taken over the essential control functions of a holding company. Those functions include strategic organization, research and development, financial control, marketing, and personnel development. The individuality of the subordinate companies remains an essential part of the company's policy.
