Rigid Blade Holders

System advantages:
  • Micro-adjusting screws for precise blade adjustment
  • Suitable for corrosive and very dirty applications
  • Stainless steel design
  • Extremely reliable as a result of stable construction
  • Self-cleaning effect when changing blade
The James Ross KFM-35A consists of solid stainless steel segments (blade keeps) which are riveted onto the continuous stainless steel upper part at regular intervals. The blade can be removed from the side or from the front. The KFM-35A blade holder is equipped with micro-adjusting screws, which are attached behind each mounting screw. By adjusting the micro-adjusting screws, the blade holder is tilted forwards and consequently the blade can be profiled to the shape of the roll. In a normal adjustment process the mounting screws do not need to be loosened to do this.

Advantages:
The blade can be changed easily from the side or front.
Every James Ross KFM-35A blade holder is made entirely of stainless steel and can be used for all applications, even in the most demanding corrosive environment.
The segmented blade keep at the bottom makes it extremely easy to change the blade, even in highly contaminated applications since as the blade is removed any contaminants simply drop down between the segments.
The KFM-35A blade holder can take all standard blade sizes. Existing blade holders can easily be exchanged since the James Ross KFM-35A follows industry standard dimensions.
The very low design of the upper part ensures that all contaminants doctored by the blade such as fibres, filler, water and other contaminants can be easily removed.

Application:
The KFM-35A can be seen as an alternative to the Superflex holder (DST) especially in non-critical positions such as intermediate dryer cylinders, felt and fabric return rolls and can provide cost effective installations since piping and controls are not normally required.
