Automatic Tension ControlGeneral:Today nearly all modern fabric tensioning systems are working fully automatic to maintain a pre-set tension value in the felt or wire, regardless of the surrounding conditions and machine parameters. The fully automatic Tension Control leads to a wide range of advantages in the different machine sections.
Main parts of JUD fabric tensioning systems:
- Load Cell
- Automatic Tension Controller
- Felt- / Wire Stretcher
The Load Cell is located on drive or tender side of the measuring roll and measures the forces applied to the bearing of the measuring roll. The value of the signal corresponds with the felt-/wire tension.
The Automatic Tension Controller transforms the signal of the Load Cell into the actual specific tension and compares it with a pre-set tension value. If the actual tension value is different from the pre-set value, the Automatic Tension Controller gives the signals to move the Fabric Tensioner to tension or release the felt / wire. Additionally all JUD Tension Controller are equipped with a variety of security features to guarantee safe operation of your Fabric Tensioning System.
The different Automatic Tension Controllers supplied by JUD are the Tension Controllers designed to control 1 (one) Fabric Tensioner position only, TENSION CONTROLLER - SINGLE SOLUTION, and the Tension Controllers designed to control up to 24 Fabric Tensioner positions either by multi point interface (MPI) or by profibus DP, TENSION CONTROLLER - SYSTEM SOLUTION.
A very common solution is to control the fabric tension via DCS, TENSION CONTROL - DCS SOLUTION. All security features realized in the JUD Tension Controllers should be realized in customer DCS as well.
