The name IBS Paper Performance Group stands for innovate technologies and unrivalled products in the world of papermaking. The company's comprehensive portfolio covers a huge range of needs. This is because the IBS Paper Performance Group has five strong brands under its roof, all with their own individual history.

IBS
The IBS name comes from the roots of the IBS Paper Performance Group and its original business operation. In 1967, in a wooden hut in the idyllic Austrian neighborhood of Teufenbach, Heinrich Bartelmuss founded Bartelmuss & Sons Engineers, or IBS for short in German. Just one year later, the first ceramic cover in the world to be made in a single piece was launched, laying the cornerstone for today's leading position in the market. Thanks to the company's constant and ongoing commitment to development and innovation, the IBS brand of dewatering systems is still unrivalled in design and successfully deployed in most of the fastest paper machines around the world.
The last 40 years have seen product diversification under the IBS brand name beyond ceramic components. For instance, today's product range also includes the RCS turn-up system with its associated turn-up tapes, plus the XLP™ Cleaner Cones and the proven EVA electronic vacuum control system.
The IBS Paper Performance Group has incorporated IBS into its name because of the original company's historical significance and the many years of successful trading under the IBS name. It is now the umbrella group for all five brands: IBS, JUD, Berger, James Ross and Jakob.
