The name IBS Paper Performance Group stands for innovate technologies and unrivalled products in the world of papermaking. The company's comprehensive portfolio covers a huge range of needs. This is because the IBS Paper Performance Group has five strong brands under its roof, all with their own individual history.

BERGER

The Berger brand name originates from the engineering works of that name, which were acquired by the IBS Paper Performance Group in 1993. The "Maschinenfabrik Berger GmbH" already had a long history in the field of steel engineering by that time.

 


The company of Berger GmbH was founded in 1915, and until the end of the seventies was primarily involved in producing special machines for machining and handling wood. In the fifties, the company started to develop machines for making reed mattresses and insulating boards, with business expanding into Egypt. Berger has worked closely with IBS Austria in Teufenbach since 1980, when the first long-grinding machine for ceramic covers was designed and built together with IBS engineers. Since then, Berger has supplied the group with dewatering boxes and other stainless steel parts for papermaking machines.

 


Following the acquisition, the product range was steered in a new direction: the Berger brand now stands for high-quality steel components fabricated in first-class, precision production processes. The products manufactured in the steel engineering plant include dewatering boxes, fabric tensioners & guides, doctors & showers and also steam showers.
