Formation, SCT, and burst improved with ACTIVITY maXX®

The IBS Paper Performance Group, technology leader in paper machine optimization, has achieved outstanding success through the use of cutting-edge dewatering technology. Significant improvements in sheet formation as well as in SCT and burst values were achieved on a containerboard machine for fluting/testliner. The key to these improvements is the targeted use of the patented ACTIVITY maXX^® dewatering foils. These foils highly efficiently ensure optimal stock activity and dewatering for every paper grade, regardless of basis weight and production speed. To achieve these improvements, ACTIVITY maXX^® foils were specifically installed in the sheet forming zone of the machine.

ACTIVITY maXX^® dewatering foils can be used on all dewatering systems in the formation zone of a paper machine. Existing iTABLE^® and IBS dewatering systems can be easily retrofitted. The solution offers maximum flexibility in day-to-day operations thanks to the choice between stand-alone operation or DCS integration. In addition to the hardware equipment, the IBS Paper Performance Group offers specific audits for wire section optimization and for dewatering elements. These are designed to assess current limitations and achieve production goals - such as quality improvement and energy savings - in a structured manner.
